TRC student worker wins
Aggie Ring Scholarship

Several semesters of hard work landed a student employee at the Technical Reference Center a $500 Aggie Ring scholarship from the College of Architecture.

Nicole Sohns, a psychology major scheduled to graduate in August, has worked at the college's architectural reference library since Sept. 2007.

"She has proven herself to be very skilled at interacting and communicating with a wide variety of patrons who use our facility, including faculty, staff, and graduate and undergraduate students," wrote Ian Muise, a visual resources coordinator at the TRC. "She also embraces diversity and has shown particular helpfulness and sensitivity to the needs of recently-arrived international students."

She was also nominated by Paula Bender, head of the TRC.

Sohns, from Hewitt, Texas, plans to work for a year then attend graduate school.
