Traci Doane, who received a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree from Texas A&M's College of Architecture in 1991, talked about her firm, Business Resource Group, and the credit crunch's effects on facility management in an online interview with IWMS (Integrated Workplace Management Systems) News.
Doane is the president and CEO of her firm, which provides workplace management solutions to organizations with a significant investment in real estate. She was interviewed by IWMS News, as part of its "Thought Leader Interview" series.
IWMS is an enterprise platform that supports the planning, design, management, utilization and disposal of an organization's location-based assets.
"We have more than 150 clients globally whom we assist in managing more than 750 million square feet of real estate in varying capacities," said Doane about her firm, Business Resource Group.
Doane said developing a solid IWMS platform can help organizations cut costs during the economic downturn.
“The cost savings tied to right-sizing a real estate portfolio and optimizing asset utilization can easily overshadow the costs incurred in developing a solid IWMS platform,” she said.
