Devon Blosch, a senior landscape architecture student at Texas A&M University, received a $2,500 Class of ’56 Endowed Scholarship after being named one of the 2008 Texas A&M Campus Student Employees of the Year during a recent ceremony.
Blosch is a student employee with the Dean of Faculties and Office of the Associate Provost.
The Class of ’56 created the scholarship so that students who worked while attending Texas A&M could lighten their workload to help them graduate early or on time.
The award is organized by the Scholarships & Financial Aid Student Employment Office, which accepts nominations in January. The winner is announced during a ceremony held during National Student Employment Week in April.
Nominees are rated based on three criteria: grade point ratio during semesters employed, length of employment, and written nominations from their employer.
