Two lectures remain in the Texas A&M Real Estate Development Association’s Spring 2011 Speaker Series featuring leading real estate industry professionals.
On March 24, Jennifer Ray, director of acquisitions and development for Brass Real Estate Funds, will lecture at 7 p.m. in the Wright Gallery, locate on the second floor of the Langford A building on the Texas A&M campus.
Ray evaluates more than 1,200 investment opportunities with a total capitalization of more than $20 billion. As a project manager, she sources new deals and underwriting and serves as the point person on all asset-based transactions.
Ray, who earned a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree and Master of Science in Land Development from Texas A&M, sits on the membership committee for the San Antonio chapter of the Urban Land Institute. Her market expertise is focused on commercial properties, particularly office and multi-family, throughout Texas and the south central portion of the United States.
On April 7, David Staas, an attorney for the Houston law firm of Winstead PC, will speak at 7 p.m. in the Wright Gallery.
Staas represents developers, owners and tenants in the acquisition, development, financing, leasing and sale of commercial properties. Additionally, his real estate practice includes zoning, platting, restrictive covenant, economic development, special district, urban design, sign regulation and other local government matters.
He earned a Master of Science in Land Development degree from Texas A&M in 1998.
Earlier this semester, the speaker series featured Lisa Chahin of Hillwood Residential, Tim Early of Brighton Homes and Adrienne Schwartz of Harrison Kornberg Architects.
