Department of Construction Science
hosts students from San Antonio

High school freshmen and sophomores from the Northside Independent School District in San Antonio spent April 13 as guests of Texas A&M’s Department of Construction Science, touring the Langford Architecture Center and learning more about the construction science program.

After attending Construction Materials and Methods in Geren Auditorium, the students had lunch at Sbisa Dining Hall and took a tour of the Aggie campus. Students who made the trip had expressed an interest in studying construction science in college.

They were greeted by Jorge Vanegas, dean of the College of Architecture, department head Joe Horlen and construction science students Matt Luchak, Boone Massey and Keith Hyman, who told the students what it's like to earn a degree at Texas A&M.
