William L. Peel Jr., who holds two degrees from Texas A&M’s College of Architecture, has been named executive vice president and chief development officer of Houston-based Tellepsen, a leader in commercial and industrial construction since its founding in 1909.
“I was looking to work in a high energy, fast-paced environment where I'm excited and motivated by the staff, clients, and opportunities for professional growth,” said Peel, who will lead the company’s marketing and client development efforts. "Tellepsen truly sets the benchmark for innovative construction firms dedicated to excellence for their clients.”
Peel, who earned a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree in 1974 and a Master of Architecture degree in 1975, has more than 30 years of diversified leadership experience with an emphasis on the built environment. He has held executive management positions in firms ranging from international architecture/engineering to real estate investment, development and construction.
He joins Tellepsen after a post as executive vice president in charge of business development for Cogdell Spencer, Inc, a publicly traded real estate investment trust based in Charlotte, N.C. He has served on the College of Architecture’s Dean’s Advisory Council for more than 10 years.
"Peel is a tremendous asset to the Tellepsen team," said chairman and chief executive officer Howard Tellepsen. "His expertise in business development and strategic marketing fused with his passion for excellence is a perfect fit for Tellepsen. We're thrilled to have him on board."
