Some teachers tell you what to do.
Some teachers challenge you to think.
Some teachers dare you to dream.
Professor Rodney Hill has inspired decades of dreamers since coming to the College of Architecture in 1969. Recently, some of those former students launched an effort to honor one of the College’s most celebrated teachers with an endowed professorship that will not only bear Rodney Hills name, but will also extend a legacy of creativity in the classroom and studio.
The Rodney Hill Professorship in Creativity and Design is a $150,000 fundraising effort that will be a permanent source of support for a faculty member in the College of Architecture whose teaching and research mirrors the creative legacy established by Rodney over the past four decades.
Donations may be made online at the Texas A&M Foundation’s website.
Hill, and the new professorship were featured in the Texas A&M Foundation most recent edition of Spirit magazine. See the story, "Under the Spell of Rodney Hill."
