The Italian influence on Frank Lloyd Wright's designs is explored in a new exhibit curated by Paolo Bulletti, an adjunct professor of architecture at Texas A&M's Santa Chiara Study Center.
The show, at the Archaeological Museum in Fiesole, Italy, until late August, marks the centennial of Wright's stay in Fiesole, a town approximately 60 miles northwest of the study center, which is located in Castiglion Fiorentino.
"We opened the exhibition June 17 with great success," said Bulletti. "A lot of people came despite a day of rain."
The exhibit, which Bulletti curated with fellow architect Roberta Bencini, includes drawings and documents analyzing the influence Wright's stay had on his subsequent designs.
For the show, Bulletti also curated a catalog of work that Wright developed in Fiesole.
