Student research highlighted at
construction science symposium

 

Undergraduate and graduate construction science students gathered April 29 at the Langford Architecture Center to present their thesis research to faculty and peers at the Spring 2011 Department of Construction Science Research Symposium.

After introductory remarks by Joe Horlen, head of the Department of Construction Science, and Sarel Lavy, associate professor of construction, the following students presented their work:

  • Saher Zunaira, “Productivity Roadmap for The A/E/C/ Industry”;
  • Christopher William Kiss, “Simulations of Design Modifications in Military Health Facilities”;
  • Soon Rock Park, “Design-Build and CM At Risk­ ­– Comparative Analysis for Owner Decision Making Based On Case Studies and Project Surveys”;
  • Pushkin Jogunoori, “Analysis of Deaths Caused by Interplate and Intraplate Earthquakes”;
  • Balabadhrapatruni Aswini Kumar,  “Residential Use Building Integrated Photovoltaics”;
  • Edelmiro Escamilla, “Investigation of Project Management Planning Practices for Renovation of Historical Buildings in Urban Contexts Located in Texas”; and
  • Robert Pinkston, “Implementation of Forensic Engineering Concepts into the Construction Industry: Factors Contributing to Failure.”
