Aggie ‘Architect to the Stars’
shares interior design ideas

Former Texas A&M architecture student David Applebaum, who has designed residences for some of Hollywood’s top celebrities, has interior design tips for more ordinary folk on a website catering to apartment dwellers.

Applebaum, widely known as “Architect to the Stars,” has designed residences for Frank Sinatra, Diane Keaton and Cuba Gooding Jr. He received a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree from Texas A&M in 1984.

“A framed mirror can give off the appearance of a window and a mirrored wall will make the room feel twice as large,” said Applebaum on apartmenttherapy.com. “In addition, a framed mirror placed on the wall perpendicular to a window will create the illusion of another window.”
