Vigus' students nab top spots in
Nikon-sponsored photo contest

 

Nine photographers selected as finalists from more than 3,500 entries in a national contest were students in a fall 2010 digital photography class at Texas A&M taught by Glen Vigus, lecturer and senior visualization production specialist for the Department of Visualization.

Finalist in the contest, The Best of College Photography 2011, sponsored by Photographer's Forum magazine and Nikon, included Texas A&M students Kayla Alford, Jared Egli, Jack Eggebrecht, Sarah Eisinger, Bilal Farrakh, Jesus Gutierrez, Brittany Hawthorne, Tyler Hosea and Claudia Rodriguez.

The students' photos are searchable by name in the finalists' section of The Photographer's Forum site.

All contests' winning photos will be available in a book, available at the site, this summer.
