Ph.D. architecture student is
a new Autodesk ‘evangelist’

As a new “student evangelist” for Autodesk, a company that designs leading 3-D architecture, building construction and engineering software, Texas A&M Ph.D. architecture student Francisco Farias will be networking with Autodesk’s top clients, receive intensive training and certification, and supervise Autodesk’s top student users, or “experts.”

Farias, who hails from Chile, will keep student experts up to speed on the firm’s latest software developments and answer their technical questions. Students earn expert status through Autodesk training, and act as tutors to pass on their knowledge to fellow students.

He was named an evangelist on the strength of his portfolio and a recommendation by his Ph.D. director, Mark Clayton, professor of architecture.

Farias will also receive a letter of recommendation for job applications, work with Autodesk software developers and attend conferences.
