Ndubisi honored by landscape architecture
organization for administrative excellence

The premier international organization for academics in landscape architecture has recognized Forster Ndubisi, head of Texas A&M’s Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning, with its 2011 Outstanding Administrator Award.

The Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture presented the award to Ndubisi March 31 during its annual conference in Los Angeles.

The Outstanding Administrator Award is another in a long list of accolades Ndubisi has garnered during his academic career. Among them are two appearances in the DesignIntelligence newsletter’s Most Admired Educators list, the Certificate of Merit award from the American Society of Landscape Architects’ Washington chapter, the American Society of Landscape Architects Merit Award in research and the Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture President’s Award for Contribution to Education in Landscape Architecture.

Head of the Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning since joining the Texas A&M faculty in 2004, Ndubisi specializes in ecological design and planning, community design, growth management and interdisciplinary design education.
