"I'm really proud of all the hard work Aggie SWAMP Club put into the festival this year as our goals for the event were the most ambitious ones yet," said Keller Davis, SWAMP Club president and telecommunications media studies major, adding that it was the first time there was a different lineup of films for both nights of the festival.
Rahul Putha, who's pursuing a graduate degree in civil engineering, won SWAMPfest's Distinguished Judges Award for his movie "In the Shadows."
Ann McNamara and Joshua Bienko, assistant professors of visualization, were among the judges who recognized Putha's film.
Stanley Wong, a film, theatre and communication major from the University of New Orleans, won the festival's Audience Choice Award for his film "Thanks for Asking." A trailer for the film is available at http://www.youtube.com
"This was the first year for SWAMPFest to expand the submission process, so while most of the films were from students at Texas A&M, we did have a handful of entries from other schools," said Keller Davis.
Jonathan Greenwald, a graduate visualization student, posted highlights of SWAMPFest's second day in a video
