Second-year undergrad visualization students got a chance to loose their imaginations, visualizing three pre-industrial tribal societies who dwell in structures erected on the face of steep cliffs along the River Styx. The students designed scale models of the cliff dwellings in harmony with each tribe’s predefined attributes and then engaged in a face-painting ritual, using natural pigments, fruits, vegetables, leaves and grasses. The individual designs, representing artistic expressions characteristic to one of the three tribal cultures, were then photographed for exhibition.
