Construction science profs tour
Texas, share research findings

 

Texas A&M construction science professors shared their latest research findings with construction industry professionals at venues throughout Texas during a recent departmental Research Road Tour.

Sponsored by the Department of Construction Science, the four stops on the annual tour marked a four-fold expansion from last year's inaugural event in Houston.

The three assistant professors who traveled to San Antonio May 17, Austin May 18, then to Dallas May 24 and wrapped up the tour with an appearance in Houston May 25 included:

  • Zofia Rybkowski, who presented "Lean Construction and Optimizing the Project Cost,";
  • Boong Yeol Ryoo, who presented "Effective Project Management: Integration of Project Management Information Systems, Building Information Modeling and Radio Frequency Identification Technologies" and
  • José Fernández-Solís, who presented "An Understanding of Quantifiable Waste in Building Construction Planning from the Metrics of

     the Last Planner System."

They were joined by tour coordinator Julian Kang, associate professor of construction science and holder of the Harold L. Adams '61 Endowed Interdisciplinary Professorship in Construction Science.
