Beltrán talks about solar
light pipe in visit to Peru

Peruvians learned about an award-winning solar light pipe designed by Liliana Beltrán, associate professor of architecture at Texas A&M, when she was interviewed on "Encounters with Science" on Radio San Borja.

Beltran was interviewed while in Peru attending the International Solar Energy Conference. She talked with Modesto Montoya, professor at Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria, and former president of the Peruvian Institute of Nuclear Energy.

She also told an audience at PetroPeru in Lima about the pipe, which was among the winning entries in a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency-sponsored sustainability competition April 23-26, 2010, on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
