A former student who taught architecture at San Antonio College for 33 years and worked at an Alamo City architecture firm died Jan. 13, 2010.
Frederick Frank Ludwig, who earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Texas A&M in 1960, always kept in touch with his students and tried to help them in their professional careers, said Richard Armstrong, architecture program coordinator at San Antonio College.
"Ludwig was known for his work with Atlee and Robert Ayers Architects, a local architecture firm that designed city landmarks Municipal Auditorium, McNay Art Museum, Tower-Life Building and St. Anthony Hotel," wrote Laura Garcia in The Ranger, San Antonio College's newspaper Feb. 12, 2010. "He was at one time president of the San Antonio chapter of the American Institute of Architects and a lifelong member," she wrote.
