NEWSMAKERS — A&M Hazards Reduction and Recovery Center scientists Carla Prater and Michael Lindell attracted a lot of media attention during their August 2002 visit to São Paolo, Brazil. The duo was there to participate in a civil defense training workshop and evaluate Brazilian civil defense programs for flood and landslide mitigation.
