Charette unites design studios

During a daylong, department-wide charette held Jan. 23, Texas A&M architecture students designed temporary emergency shelters to house victims of an unspecified natural disaster for up to three days. The idea, said architecture department head Glen Mills, “was to design simple shelters that could be tighly packed and air-dropped in great numbers to people in distress.
