BED major receives university-wide honor
from previous Phi Kappa Phi honorees

David Victor Morris, a junior environmental design major from Houston, was recently named Texas A&M’s Outstanding Junior for 2003-04 by Phi Kappa Phi, the oldest and largest interdisciplinary honor society in the United States.

The selection was made by a university-wide vote of last year’s college-level Phi Kappa Phi awardees.

"David is an unassuming individual whose talent will undoubtedly lead to a stellar career in visualization," said Mardelle Shepley, associate dean of student services at A&M’s College of Architecture.

Phi Kappa Phi was founded in 1897 to recognize and promote academic excellence in all fields of higher education. Membership is by invitation and is based upon academic achievement. The Texas A&M University chapter of Phi Kappa Phi was founded 51 years ago.
